On the 2nd November, the YCEDE team attended the inaugural University of York Inclusive Impact Award event. The project was nominated for an award in the ‘Inclusive Partnerships’ category – and won first prize!
As a reminder, the Inclusive Impact Awards recognise the innovative and inspiring EDI work of students and staff that is already making a measurable difference across our university community. They also provide an opportunity to hear about the plans and programme of work to deliver a more inclusive University.
The awards are hosted by the University of York’s EDI Exchange. The EDI Exchange will bring together work already going on across staff and student groups at York, as well as developing new initiatives, helping to amplify conversations and speed up change within the institution.

We are thrilled to receive this award and to be recognised for the work we have done so far. However, we see this as the first of many as we continue on our mission to bring racial equity to doctoral education.
