COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We do not capture or store personally-identifying information (such as your e-mail address, name, title or postal address) without your knowledge when you visit our site. Personally-identifying information can only be collected on our website if you choose to provide it. In the case of a specific enquiry, we reply to the enquiry and do not keep your details on file unless specifically requested to do so.
If you wish to receive other information relating to the White Rose Consortium please state clearly in your correspondence. We may then use your details to contact you with current and future information about our work, events and activities.
However, you will always have the opportunity to opt out of receiving further information. To do this please send an e-mail to info@ycede.ac.uk with the following subject line: ‘Remove’ and include your name and address so that we can identify your records for removal.
In order to modify your personal data the subject line should state ‘Modify Personal Data’ – please include your modifications in the body of the e-mail.

COMMENTS

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

MEDIA

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
