The event is aimed at PhD students from Black, Asian and minority ethnic background, but it`s open to everyone.
This workshop will introduce you to the basics of thematic analysis. It will explore three approaches; deductive, inductive and reflexive. The steps and process you would follow will be outlined, and there will be interactive activities with real research data so you can practice during the session. Insights into a PhD project that developed a novel thematic inspired analysis protocol for visual, textual and spatial longitudinal data will be shared.
