RSC 2025 Horizon Prize for Education awarded to University of York “Decolonising the Chemistry Curriculum” Group.

A huge congratulations to University of York Chemistry staff and students who have won the Royal Society of Chemistry’s 2025 Horizon Prize for Education!

The group – Caroline Dessent, Leonie Jones, Avtar Matharu, David Smith, Ruhee Dawood, Samantha Furfari, Kgato Selwe, Amelia Milner and Kelechi Uleanya – was awarded the prize “for championing decolonisation of the undergraduate chemistry curriculum, through widespread dissemination of strategies and resources to promote more inclusive chemistry teaching”.
