My current research explores the educational experiences of Black women students in higher education and through my research and personal experiences as a Black Muslim women I have found my role as a YCEDE scholar to be both exciting and fulfilling. Through the YCEDE scholars board I have had the opportunity in collaboration with the other members of the panel to contribute to impactful measures designed to make doctoral studies more equitable.
