Thursday 20th October 9 AM to 5 PM online via zoom*
- Thinking about applying for a PhD or EdD?
- Would you like to find out about the PGR journey and how those who are currently studying for a doctoral degree gained admission to their programme?
This one-day workshop is being offered by Generation Delta for women who identify as Black, Asian and/or from minority ethnic communities. It is open to current UK/’Home’ undergraduate and master’s students and those who may have left academia but are planning to return to study for a doctoral degree at some point in the near future.
At the session you will hear from professors who are part of the Black Female Professors Forum BFPF as well as current doctoral students and university staff involved in administering funding.
*Zoom link will be emailed to registered participants nearer the time of the workshop.
Please note: This is an action research project and we will be inviting feedback on the programme at the end of each workshop with staff , students and prospective students. We would like to use this feedback, which will be pseudonymised, to inform our research.
There will also be opportunities for you to take part in focus groups to give us feedback on the PGR network and the programme as a whole. Any information you provide will also be pseudonymised before inclusion as part of our research. Following registration and prior to attending the workshop you will receive an Information Sheet and Consent Form to more fully explain this research process.
